Today is the first day of the annual Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is a drug prevention campaign in the United States. If you google Red Ribbon Week you can find out lots of information about it.

Each year at Lanier we celebrate Red Ribbon Week with dress up days. Today was Red day.

Tuesday is Camouflage day.
Wednesday is Hat day.
Thursday is School Spirit day. Wear Green and Yellow.
Friday is Pajama Day

Please talk to your child about the dangers of drugs, smoking, and alcohol.

The Field Trip- part 2

Here are the pictures from the Apple Celebration at Heritage High School.

I want to say thanks to our parent volunteers for chaperoning our trip. They did a great job helping Mrs. Marsha and me keep track of everyone.

The Field Trip

We had an excellent time on our field trip. No one got lost. Or sick. Or hurt. There was no blood. These are my first concerns when we venture off school grounds.

I think everyone had fun and experienced something new. Some rode a bus for the first time. Others had their first experience at Sandy Springs Park. Several really enjoyed the hayride. Petting animals was great! And yes, we did wash our hands after. :)

I hope your children came home and shared the experience with you. If not, you can get a feel for it with these pictures.

**Uploading the pictures from the park was a learning experience. I will add the Apple Festival pictures in another post.

Testing 1,2,3

Hello- I can't believe that the first 9 weeks are almost over. We have been very busy in math and reading. We have even managed to sneak in a little bit of science and social studies.

Since I only send a newsletter once a week I can put info here that you might need during the week. I will also post pictures when we do something interesting at school.
But first I need to learn how. :) I hope to do that over fall break.

I think you can post comments and questions also.

Welcome to Miss Moore's Class

Welcome to our class blog. This is a place for students to show what we do at school to their families at home.

I will also use this blog to post info that parents might need.
